Hello and welcome to the New Year on the Sunrise Coast. Even though the festive season is over for another year, there are still plenty of events to enjoy throughout January and February.
With a mixture of live entertainment and great cinema, the Marina Theatre, in Lowestoft, is at the cultural heart of the community. This January at the Marina you can experience the Russian State Ballet of Siberia with full orchestra as they perform The Nutcracker on the 14th and 15th and the Lowestoft Players present Beauty and The Beast as the family pantomime to enjoy for a spellbinding post Christmas treat from 24th January to 1st February.
The Cut – a centre for arts in the community in Halesworth has Steve Knightly on 31st January who is regarded as one of England’s finest singer songwriters and will be playing from his vast repertoire on songs.
The County Music Festival returns to Lowestoft with a new date and a new location: 22nd February at Pontins, Pakefield. February also brings excitement with the Chinese State Circus at the Marina Theatre from 20th to 22nd and a Gala Evening with Hayley Westenra and Jonathan Ansell on the 9th.
First opened in February 1828, The Fisher Theatre in Bungay re-opened in September 2006 and is now a fantastic venue for entertainment, workshops & refreshments. This February you can look forward to the John Buck Project on the 1st - consisting of guitar driven blues, Twelfth Night - Shakespeare¹s greatest romantic comedy- comes bursting onto the stage from 13th-15th and on 21st February Anne Widdercombe reveals what life is really like as an MP.
